Features
Chill the being.
A breathing page on the child's side, for the panicky moments and the nights sleep won't come. A small being breathes slowly, and the child can follow along or not.
What it's for
It is for regulation, not for learning. It's there for the moments a child feels panicky or anxious, and for bedtime.
What it does
The child presses Breathe together. The being grows as it breathes in and shrinks as it breathes out. The colour shows the phase: green to breathe in, amber to hold, blue to let go. A word and a count sit underneath.
Following along is optional. The page says so plainly: the being won't mind either way.
Three paces
- Even
- Box breathing. In, hold, out, hold. Four counts each.
- Settle
- In for four, hold for two, out for six. This is where it starts.
- Rest
- In for four, hold for seven, out for eight. For getting to sleep.
The pace can change mid-breath. It starts again from the in-breath.
Nothing to earn
There is no score, no streak and no reward. When the child pauses, the page shows how many breaths they took together. That number isn't saved anywhere.
Nothing from Chill the being goes in the record, and the parent's side doesn't show it. It isn't part of learning. There is no AI in it.
Sound
Soft sound is off until the child turns it on. It is a low tone that swells on each in-breath, and a lower one on each out-breath. The choice is remembered on that device.
Where to find it
One tap from the child's dashboard, at the top, next to their name. It's there whenever they need it.
They lead. The record follows.
