The report comes when the assessor does.

E Squared turns your learning record into a home education assessment report. Every moment sits under the key skills an assessor reads.

Last 90 days

Being CreativeScience

2 Thu 23 Oct 2025

Made up a song about the cat and played it on the keyboard.

Being CreativeMusic

A sample report page for the demo child Charlie: the cover line, the key skill Being Creative and two logged moments.

What's in the home education assessment report

Everything you and the others logged can go in. Each child gets their own section. Moments sit under the eight key skills, with their subjects.

There is a short summary for each child, an index of key skills and subjects, and the full log at the back.

The key skills come from Ireland's Junior Cycle. They are the language an Irish assessor already uses.

Nobody sits a test

Nobody rebuilds a year of evidence the week before the visit. The record has been filling up all along.

Who it's for

Assessor Review
Your home education assessor. A cover page, summaries and a key skill index, with a declaration to sign.
Personal record
Family. A keepsake of the year, with no assessor framing.
Other / custom
A tutor, a specialist or another reviewer.

What you choose before you export

Pick the children, the time range and the key skills. Leave out any single moment. Then choose how it looks.

Layout

Narrative

Reads as a quiet account of the term. Best for review panels and grandparents alike.

Evidence list

Tabular, by key skill. Each entry on its own line with date and tags. Skim-friendly.

Timeline

Chronological, week by week. The closest thing to reading the log itself.

What to show

Cover page

Title, range, being names, and the family signature. Expected by most home education assessors.

Family names

Off replaces names with first initials throughout. Useful when sharing externally.

Empty weeks

Quiet weeks with no entries show up as a one-line note. Off skips them entirely.

Moments · 2 of 3 included

MonCounted the change at the shop and spotted the till was 20 cent out.
WedSpent the morning on why the moon seems to follow the car. We looked it up together.
Left out
FriRead the rules of a new board game out loud to everyone.

It opens in its own window, ready to print or save as a PDF. The report is put together on your device. A full name or date of birth typed for the cover is never saved.

Ready for the assessor

I showed it to our home education assessor in January 2026 and she was positive about it.

More on the visit itself: how to prepare for the assessment and what assessors look for.

They lead. The record follows.

e², as in twice exceptional.
